Hello,

Well Im based in the UK and have the Brinsea eco incubator with not automatic turner, What are the best temps for incubating coturnix or italian quails? Also Is it better the dry method for quails or no? Should I mist? I incubated before I know the temps etc.... but just incase im wrong as i havent incubated for a while.

OK, I only did one hatch, got eggs from a BYC'er and it took 17 days exactly, I also had some bobwhites in there, they took 21 days exactly. One bobwhite came out one day, then 17 more cam e out two days later. Can't figure that one out!I had one dozen+ coturnix mix eggs, of that dozen, I got 8 quail, so if that's all you want for 17 days, then that's fine. I had 30 bobwhtie quail and a doxen + together, so now I have tons of quail. Also, I found out twice that if you take them out of the incubator too soon, they will get spraddle leg quickly. So, now I levae them in for at least 6 hours or more. When you take them out, keep them on something non slippery, like burlap or towels, not newspaper or an aquarium floor. Ask me how I know!!!
Maybe someone in the quail section will see this and help out
