Hello, I have a dilemma. I put turkey eggs in incubator but can't find where I wrote down the day. I have 4 of the earlier ones that are at the "wiggling around" stage. The shell is getting more transparent on both ends and the poults are definitely moving around. I am not sure if it is time to pull them off the turner or need to keep them on longer? At what stage would you who are more experiences at hatching (just started hatching guineas and Peafowl last year, first turkey eggs for me) say they are?
thanks!

Maybe this will help? http://www.domestic-waterfowl.co.uk/images/gifs/egg

Granted, this will only work if your humidity has been where it needs to be through the duration... but it's the only way I can think of, lol! Can you tell if they've internally pipped yet? You should be able to see the beak's shadow through the air sack in the shell. I've read that you can leave them on the turner until they internally pip and pull them off when they do. But I go on the safe side and stop turning on the 25th day. :)

Also, I kind of cheat. On the eggs, I write (with pencil) the date laid and the expected hatch date... that way I don't lose it! :D

Good luck, happy hatching!!

I just had a thought... when you said "wiggling around stage", did you mean the entire egg is moving, or just the embryo inside? Are you able to see anything inside the egg, or is it totally opaque? The egg will be opaque right before lockdown time/hatching, you'll only be able to see inside the air sack. The earliest I've seen an embryo moving was at day 9. So... I dunno, I hope this helps. Maybe you can take some pictures? :)

I hear you should stop the turner on day 25, but since you don't know when they were set, I'm not sure if I can help, sorry : /
