Hatching Rouen Duck Eggs

I do have some shelf liner, is it too late to put it in there? I've got 2 hatched, another one has kicked the end off but hasn't come out yet. Another one is currently zipping out too lol. The 3 I put the safety hole in, are the first 3 to hatch lol. They stay in the incubator until they're dry, right? Then I can move them to the brooder. And they don't need food or water for 24 hours?
I move mine at 4-6 hours after hatch
They don’t need ti be fully dry but you want them able to stand and walk so they can go to and from heat as they need
I always put feed abc water in immediately and show them but they won’t always go yo it yet

Good to know! I will wait til they can do that better. 3rd baby is out, 2 more are almost out lol. This is so exciting!

Thank you! I'm so happy and excited and in love with these little guys already! Should I open it to put the shelf liner in or wait til they all hatch or just let them dry and then go to the brooder?
If you see them struggling to walk then you could put it in but I wouldn’t worry yet
Also once the last one hatches I always turn my bator to 95 instead of 99.5

Okay! How long should I wait to see if I need to put it in there? First time doing this, as the ones I got at TSC weren't just born lol. I'm not sure how long it usually takes for them to figure the walking thing out lol

Each baby does their own thing
But usually a couple hours or so
They are pretty floppy at first
Some will be moving in an hour and others take 4 to get things going

I hope you got to watch the actual hatches
