I'm a little confused since I breed Silkies...I have been reading the hatching times for Seramas. I have 10 in the incubator and 5 under a broody silkie hen. Some places I have read to quit turning at 16 days. Should I move the ones in the incubator to the hatcher on day 16? I have them in with some silkie eggs which usually hatch right at 21 days...Need some advice from serama owners...what day do I move the eggs to the hatcher...thanks:idunno

Mine go to the hatcher on day 18 , with no problems. So the 18th day is last day turned.

serama will hatch early, I've gone 18 without a problem and had them hatch the next day, with a very good hatch, with you eggs under the silkie be careful the hen might accedentaly step on and kill the chicks, the silkie is big for serama chicks.

I've been hatching serama over 4 years

Hi! My Serama tend to hatch on Day 19/20 also (but so do my Silkies, Cochins, Japanese etc and most of my LF hatch Day 20).
I still turn or leave in turner til Day 18 and they hatch just fine.
Good luck!

Candled today! Well so far, I have nine going for sure and two maybes and a probably not. I'll take TWO from this first hatching, heck I'd take one. But for today - happy dance...
