hatching shipped BCM eggs, PIC heavy. HATCHING started 9/25!!!!

egg #19 has now pipped! four total pips! YAY

19 is one of the darkest of the eggs so I'm really excited about that. Funny, I've been over to that bator about every 2 minutes for hours now. I've been sitting here for maybe 10 minutes and DH walked over and said yep, three have pipped. He asked which numbers I told him 2,3 and 12...he said is that the one by me? um, i can't see you babe...i get up walk over and realize he's standing in a way he would not be able to see the one pipped underneath. I realized it had to be another one! YAY

#19 is pipped!!! now he's peeping at them too! LOL

WOOHOO!!! egg #2 just hatched!!!

now, I must sleep as it's 2:30 here and there are soccer games for my little ones tomorrow, you know the human ones. lol

morning update:

2 more pips!! eggs # 13 and 31 are pipped now too.

Currently we have just one lone hatch (egg #2, first one to pip) but several others are starting to zip away. Eggs 3, 12, 13, 19 and 31 have all pipped. Right now eggs 2, 12 and 13 seem to be working while 19 and 31 appear to be resting.

At this point at least one egg from each seller has pipped! sweet!

Soccer in one hour, may update before (esp if anyone hatches!). Will update when we get back, probably around 1pm ET. hoping to come home to more fuzz butts.

Are you going to mark their fuzzy selves somehow so you can keep track of them? Maybe band their legs when they get bigger so you can keep track of what 'they' lay like?

If this is possible, what is good to mark them with when their small. I have used magic marker in the past, but was never sure if that was a good idea. It never seemed to hurt them but..... I thought I'd ask since this reminded me!

6littlechickies, I'm so glad you started this thread. Having never seen eggs hatch I never realized just how long it actually takes once they start.

Now (maybe) I won't freak out if it takes a while when mine start to hatch.

Whew! Back from the very rainy soccer game and a quick stop at the store.
Eggs 31 and 13 have hatched!!!
Egg #12 is zipping its way out now and egg #19 is starting to zip.

shellyd - actually, almost all night--was up until about 2:45. just can't help myself, HAD to wait to watch #13 hatch!! LOL

portagegirl - yes, i have leg bands. bought those this week from hoof and hen ranch that arrived very timely on Friday. I ordered 12 total for this batch and some for the eggs from bargain. green is from revolutionmama, the ones from dogsaver26 are blue and the ones that hatch from julie3810 will be purple. The ones from bargain will be orange.
