Guess I forgot this is the WWW, here in the States. Store bought eggs are not fertile.

The Store bought eggs, got me.

I have never tried it so I can not honestly say I'd like it or not. Most people say "icky, gross" when I eat spinach.

Actually there are some Store Bought eggs in the United States that are fertile. And if you search on BYC, there are posts were person have successfully hatched chicks from store bought eggs.

And to add, this item was on one of the Fear Factors several years ago and I could not believe it. I know I could not eat it. But to answer your original quesiton, I do not think you could continue the incubation and have a successful hatch. By the time they get to you, the partially developed baby which did have a heart beat, etc, would have died.

Did you even read the post? The eggs are fertile and 10 days incubated.

My guess would be that after removing from the incubator for a period of time, they would be dead, but I guess it depends on how they are handled and stored, etc. If "room temperature" was close to incubation temperature... maybe?

Yes I did read it. It said store bought eggs had been incubated for 10 days.

That does noy mean they were fertile. Yes I know he said they were moving, but boiling eggs move around.

It sounds like the parents are incubating their own eggs to eat, so the OP would only have to continue what the parents started. I didn't see anywhere where it said the incubation process was significantly interrupted, so I think further incubation would probably be successful. Of course, I could have interpreted the post incorrectly.

Perhaps assumptions on many parts, but I did understand what the original poster meant. Why would you assume someone incubated infertile eggs?

There are asian markets in the US that sell fertile eggs.

Also, why would you assume the original poster to be a "he"?

Done a search could not fine it.

Guess some stores are selling farm freash eggs.

Still think it would be hard to hatch store eggs.
