cool! love the name Silkhorn too! it will be fun to see what she looks like all grown up, this thread is keeping me from looking in the bator window every 5 min during lockdown....hoping for 6 healthy Silkies!!!!

Congrats on your chicks! Poppy is adorable!!!!!!

Seriously, kfchickenlady wasn't kidding. She will not leave the room the incubator is in. She walks around with the flashlight checking the eggs over.....and over.....and over. It's driving me up the wall.
Any advice on how to get her to calm down?

Updates!!!!!

First, here is Cinnamon Bun. I LOVE his coloring!!! I'm going to replace Cinnamon (the dad) with him next spring to cement this color within my line of Silkies.

Second, here is Cayenne. I'm pretty sure she's a female. He coloring isn't great, but she has fabulous temperament (laid back, sweet, quiet)and is the sweetest, fluffiest, calmest little thing ever!

Now for what has got to be one of the weirdest chicken face photos ever....she was looking up?!?!

I don't have a photo of Poppy. S/he is doing good and is a sprightly little golden chicken. I am leaning toward s/he being female.

I have a new batch of 8 Partridge Silkies hatching on Saturday....
