Hatching Turkey Eggs

I got my first ever turkey egg today!!!!!! I have two GQF the Genesis (the one with preset thermostat at 100*F) and an automatic turner. I have never hatched turkey eggs before, just chicken and guineas. Does anyone else with the Genesis or Hovabator incubators from GQF help me out with hatching turkeys?? I have two that is about a year older than the other (just got the second)and they both give different trays to fill for humidity. The new one i got says to fill- well it has four trays and two are in the middle and the other two run around the incubator kinda...well it says to fill the middle one of the two middle ones (if you put a finger in the smack dab middle of it then you are in that tray they say to fill with water. BUT the first one I got says to fill the one that is the second one of the middle two. So if you start at the middle one (the one the new one says to fill) and go outward it is the next one.

So what I am asking is which one should i fill for hatching turkeys?? Thanks!

Your best bet is to pick up a cheap thermometer/hygrometer and fill up enough wells to get humidity readings in the 40(ish)% reading for the first 25 days. Then fill up more wells to get you to around 65% for the final 3 days.

There are so many vairables involved when incubating that it is impossible to give you advice on how many wells to fill; what might work well for other people might not work at all for your situation.

thanks! I picked one up on the way home that show temperature and relative humidity. In the older one the thing I bought today reads 100.2*f and 60% humidity. I have srted the newer one and I will play with that one (it doesn't have eggs; the older one has RIR eggs in it) to I get close that way i will know when i sit my turkey eggs. I only have one hen so it i get one egg a day (hopefully-today was her first ever egg and my first turkey egg also to hatch

) and i will wait until I get 7 and put them in there then I will set seven again a week later until I have poults coming out of my rear! LOL LOL
