Hatching with 2 broodies

Baby Pics! This is how you eat fermented feed The whole fan damily The little red girl and the little yellow ?? A+ student on eating fermented feed Little girl staying after class Mom says run this way Now she says run that way look at the action of the one in the back lol they were RUSHING to get whatever yummy morsel she had unearthed.

Oh how beautiful they are ever so cute and they all look very happy

I Guess the broody fever is spreading Lol very contagious I stated of with one now I have two I guess you will have to find her some eggs and separate her of from the rest of your Girlz or maybe put her in with your other broody but I'm not to sure as on Italychickens experience it did not turn out to good but I honestly do not know do what you think is best they must be very happy birds as I heard hybreed chickens do not have a tendency to go broody!

too funny...yep she is broody! hahaha is this the same one that went broody before last week? you can put a bowl upside down in her nest. How close is your hatch to day 21? You could give her a few of those babies as well.

Nope this is another one!! And the ones in the incubator hatch next Tuesday, and the ones under the other broody hatch Monday the 26th and I sorta thought about giving them to her, but I sort of need her to be laying :/

try the bowl...provide other nesting areas for the other girls and see if that works. google "breaking a broody hen" for more ideas.

Hello team broody

I am asking for prayers for San Diego County and all the chickens and other animals here. I am smack dab in the middle of at least 4 major fires burning with Santa Ana winds going crazy! Temps are in the 100's and I just turned off the news because it is freaking me out.

I am trying to figure out IF we do have to evacuate how am I going to get 6 dogs and 27 chickens out of here? No flames too close to us and I am praying these winds die down soon.

Please pray for all the people, animals and homes! This is my backyard, full of eucalyptus trees.

Here is another pix of the trees and brush behind us. Miles of brush.
I wish I had a trailer. My husband could get the 6 Yorkies in his small Honda if need be and I guess I could take the chickens in my Toyata 4 Runner if we had too.

Prayers have been said from here for you and your neighbors and their pets and properties. If you have boxes or dog crates you can stuff a few birds in each. maybe stick some feed in the 4 runner now. If the evac. order comes there may not be time.
