Hatching

Yes and it looked to have hatched about 30 minutes before I got home

Now Babble is quite unhappy with the accommodations but isn't dry and fluffy yet so she/he is just smacking the head against the top trying to stand up...Dawdle is still pretty much just flopping around. Ichiban, the chick that hatched last week, has gotten SO excited hearing them chirp....poor thing has been so lonely in that brooder box all by itself.
I know they get impatient when they are in tight spaces. be sure they can get burned on anything I have heard people say their ducklings hit their head on something in the top of the bator and got burned. Congrats on Dawdle!! look forward to pics.

Well I have good news since my ducklings didn't make it! I came home from school today and three of my chicks hatched and one is hatching now! As well as 3 new pips!

Well everyone.. I got home today and poked on each egg.. Not hearing anything at all I started slightly helping crack the shell and I saw that the membrane was very darkish, looking as if it had been cooked.. I just decided to open it and my baby was dead.. The membrane was tightly sucked onto him.. Should I throw the rest out?

When you say membrane is darkish, are you saying it looked like dried dark blood??
