Hatchling with umbilical hernia??

Last night a chick hatched and it looked like he had a horrible umbilical hernia. He is one of three chicks that pipped and zipped in the middle of the egg instead of where the air cell was. One died trying to hatch that way.
I fully expected this chick to die last night but he’s still alive. I haven’t re-examines him yet but he’s acting pretty normal.
Any thoughts??

You can, but be careful in case of pecking. Is she active?

Nothing you did wrong - don't blame yourself - that's always been fatal in my (very limited) experience, though there have been a lucky few, by all reports.

Thank you for the encouragement. I feel really bad about it. Im still hoping she’ll gain strength and pull through.
