Yes, tweezers are handy for this. It's what I use. Once you check and make sure the membrane isn't stuck, or if it is you unstick it with some warm water and pull it back gently from the down and I would wrap a wet paper towel around the backside and put it back in to let it finish itself.And than return him to finish when I am done right? I wish i had tweezers right now.

I would have waited to do a full assist. I was just suggestion checking the membranes (at the pip area) to make sure that they weren't glued to the baby to keep it from hatching and removing any glued membrane and wrapping a towel around him and putting him back in so he could finish on his own.As I was reading, I was thinking wait too, but Amy is excellent, so either choice should turn out ok. Did he get out on his own? How's he doing this morning?

I chipped away but it started to come out. He;s doing great today in the brooder. The humidity is too high in the incubator him to dry all the way. Woke up this morning he was still wet so I moved him to the brooder.
