Have a real dark egg anyone have suggestions?

Can you see the end of this egg? I hope it's not a quitter but kinda looks like it to me. It is the same one with the weird looking center from the day of lock down. I still hear a couple of them peeping but I'm not so sure. Ugh

So what's going on now?

I think I'm done. 9 made it. 8 lavender and 1 black! I'm glad I got a black one. The one did die during zip. I'm going to do another thread with eggtopsy pics. Still have 4 in the bater but I think they are gone. Candled and thought I saw movement in one, so I thought I'd give them one more night. I'm very pleased with the 9 I got. They are so cute! One is still having a little trouble standing, but I think its the last one to hatch, so maybe it just needs more time. Looking forward to a decent nights sleep for a change!

Well, wonders never cease. About 5 hours ago, I looked in on my last 3 eggs in the bater (I removed one that I was sure was dead) and to my surprise, there was a pip! Its zipping now, so I'm praying it finishes. Wow!! Day 23.

It made it out, it made it out!!! Yeah!!! Number 10!!! Yippee!!!! 27 hours since number 9 got out. But it looks fine and strong.

I'll check the final 2 eggs, but I'm pretty sure I'm done now. I'm feeling very lucky.

That's great :)
I am not doing any eggtopies it's too depressing.
2 of the 5 ancona's have hatched one has a big pip hole and a tiny hole in the membrane. The membrane is still white but, right where the hole is seems dry. I have two in there I think are gone. One that looks weird pictures above hasn't done anything and been rolled around and feels really light. The other is still warm so I debating what to do with that one.

Glad 2 have gotten out. If the humidity is up, and that one has a good breathing hole, it should be ok, I would think. What day are you on now?

I moved #10 to the brooder and candled my final 2 eggs and was surprised to see slight movement so I left them in. Its just the end of day 23 and the one that hatched today is perfect. He was just a little behind. Guess I'll wait another day and see what happens.
Now I have one segregated. When I checked them this morning, I found one with its neck torn all to crap. Watching the chick, it kinda freaks out and starts scratching its own neck. Poor thing is raw. I put some Neosporin on it, and taped up his feet and put him by himself. Its a little better tonite, but I'm not sure what's up with it.

Any ideas/thoughts are appreciated!
