Have a real dark egg anyone have suggestions?

I've been away all weekend, finally got to spend a weekend at our camp/farm. Loaded up the ducks and took them with me lol It will be their eventual home.

Sounds good with your goslings. That humidity would seem to me to have to be in the ballpark at least. I bet it will work! What's up with them now?

Great that the duck eggs are filling up the bottom too. That's a good sign. The one with the strange looking center... well, I had a couple that had some clear around the middle and I'm sorry to say, I think those were ones that mostly didn't make it, but I did have one that did make it. It was a bit sticky on the head, but turned out fine. The others expired within the last couple of days. Never pipped. But don't let that discourage you. It could just be an area of yolk, which is still yet to be absorbed. Or even one that hasn't gotten into correct position yet, but still has time! Good thoughts!

I put one of the hygrometers in there so I could check out the humidity it says the humidity in there with the duck eggs is 37%. I will candle them in a little while when it gets a bit darker here.

I will try not to be discouraged about the weird egg. Tomorrow is lockdown have tonight to candle and tomorrow to candle/set. And hoping for the best.

Oooh exciting lockdown! Mine's Tuesday! 37% sounds great to me for this final day before lockdown. Looks like mine hung in around that while I was gone all weekend. I worried a little while I was gone, but I have a thermometer that shows max/min and it never got out of range, so I was happy.
I believe the ducks did like the outing. We put up a makeshift pen, with a tote for swimming. Kept them in a big dog crate just outside my sliding glass door overnight. Took my heat lamp of course. Hubby says they are already spoiled. Well duh! Sure they are!
Have to say this... I keep buying stuff at the store for them like bananas, kale, peas, etc that I never buy. He said he should have been a duck, then maybe he'd get treats lmao!

I know I have said this twice over the last two days before now. This makes three times I wish I could share video's from my cell phone. So I went to the goose egg incubator and I turned on the flash light. I started whistling into the hole and calling come on baby I am waiting for you. The gosling honked back.... I'm so excited.... I have to work tomorrow and I dont want to go to bed now.

I know one thing I would love to give feedback on is these terrible ads. I understand they need them to keep the website going but, its hard to get things to load when they run.... UGh

Buy a gold feather membership and you don't have to deal with ads. I won mine last fall for 6 months. But I think when that's up (this month or next I think) I'll purchase another 6 months. It's not a lot $.
