I need help. I thought she was eggbound but have felt inside the vent but not egg in there. She is squatting all the time but no egg. she seems like can't poo properly. I have used Epsom salt and water as a laxative cause I have used it before last year on another hen. She has a very swollen bottom and belly area. She was eating and drinking like normal. Pooped a little but didn't get much response to the epsom salt laxative. I felt inside the vent area again and there is no egg, just enlarged. I did get a little poo out and then there was like red tissue but was in tact. No bleeding but just not herself. I have given her olive oil and bread and gatorade, water with vitamins, her food plus have made her scrambled eggs this morning.
Does anybody think they know what this could be. She is very swollen and I was holding her and I really thought she was going to die in my arms just now. My son said she is standing again. What can I do to help her.
