I have an LG without a turner or fan(I borrowed my MIL's incubator) and she said to have my temp at 99.5, so that is what I did. Now I am reading on the board that the temp should have been at 102.

I have candelled the eggs and out of 20 I had two blood rings, and one infertile egg.(that was on friday) I think that the eggs should go on lockdown Tues. So.... did I doom my poor eggs? My incubator also got up to about 103 on Friday??? We have had some pretty hot days here in Arizona. I just really want some little chickies to add to the flock.

Any thoughts?

A lower temp is better than a higher one.

I've heard that a low temp can cause the chicks to hatch a few days late, but it's not the end of the world.

From everything I've read, the lower temp will just make them hatch a little later. The temp spike shouldn't have bothered them as long as it wasn't for very long. Mother nature isn't perfect...so it gives us a little leeway
