Have I stuffed up

I wasn’t happy with ventilation in my shed conversion, so i drilled 5cm holes along the walls of the shed on the opposite side to the existing louvre windows. I covered the holes to make them predator proof and it seemed to work well. As mentioned, the smaller the volume of space, the more critical ventilation becomes.
Oh sounds like a smart idea to me. I’m considering punching out the window and putting wire over it. However would probably extend the roofing for coverage. My husband brought home chickens on a whim so the common sense part of it was out the window from the start. I’m just trying to make things work with thre resources I have available haha

Lucky! Mine just encouraged me to get hatching eggs then proceeded to whine when I made him help me build the housing! “But they’re ‘your’ chickens”, you could try that line to get the coup build going?

Doing what you can with what you have is the name of the game, imo. In time, you will know exactly what you want / can afford, but don’t rush that process. The longer that process takes, the better the end result will be. It took me 3 years to plan what I wanted, and it worked - before that time i was flying by the seat of my pants in almost every aspect of caring for my flock.
