have laying hens that wont sit on their eggs

i have bout 15 laying hens and 2 roosters all of which are old enough to be able to produce eggs.. only bout half of them at times are producing..how do i get the others to lay and how do i get the others that are laying to start sitting on their eggs..have been leaving eggs in their spots for months and they all prefer laying in same spot

What kinds of chickens do you have?
Not all breeds will go broody and sit on eggs.

have 1 silky..6 americanas and rest are mix tween silky and rhode island or americana and silky...all are bout year old
