Have Mareks or Newcastle Disease- Now What?

I added 3 new (4.5m old) birds to my flock July 1st. A few days later two 10m old GLW I have had for months and have been healthy developed respitory infections (bubbles in eye, snotty nose, goopy eye). I talked to a poultry vet and he suggest I put them on a vitamin/electrolyte booster. Last night one of the new birds was not roosting (in corner) but I didn’t look at her until the morning as it was late. This morn it was immediately apparent she was exhibiting a loss of function, she was stumbling, her neck was bent in half with her beak near the the ground and she she was floppy. I put her in a tub and contacted the person I bought her from. She mentioned she had another bird that recently (after I purchased) seemed “off”. This lady and I have become friendly and she is equally horrified as I am to find there is something wrong. She suggested to me that it sounded like wry neck and that it can be a symptom of Mareks (amongst other things). When I was reading about Mareks I read about Optical Mareks symptoms being an abnormal pupil. I had noticed this bird had unusual eyes but I thougt it was a result of her colouring (she is a blue Olive Egger). I asked the lady with the other bird to check hers and that bird has widely dialated pupils.
I talked to the poultry vet again and he said those symptoms are consistent with Mareks or Newcastle. He said the badly effected one doesn’t have good chances but to keep giving the rest the Stress Aid and to practise biosecurity. I do not know if/where I will be able to have necropsy done and won’t likely know until monday now given the weekend. Attached is a photo of the eye of my OE and the effected other bird.

I would say that it is Mareks from your chickens eyes and symptoms. Newcastles does not cause the eye changes. Keep in mind that there are 4 types of symptoms with Mareks, and each bird may only have one symptom. The eye changes may only affect a percentage of birds. Some may only have the lameness, while some have tumors. Locating a poultry lab first and then shipping or delivering the body while being kept cold is key for a necropsy.
