I think you made the right decision so I’ll just say good. I’m glad it was easier than expected.

To me pretty is not a criteria. A good meal is. How do you plan to cook him?
Thanks :) My family is having a get together tomorrow and my grandmother asked us to roast a chicken, so I suppose I'm roasting him! We usually stick some butter, onion, and a carrot in the cavity for moisture, maybe some extra butter since there's not much fat on him.
 
The deed is done. It was a lot easier than expected! Sort of messed up processing him so it doesn't look pretty, but whatever :p dressed out 3lbs 12oz. Really lean

I'll bet that bird is going to taste awesome! Glad you were able to do the right thing. You're right that is pretty lean. We had some Cornish X broilers last year that dressed out at 9-10 lbs--we let them grow way too long! :)
