I went back to school for 5 years, and am now a Registered Nurse with my Bachelor's Degree. Now I'm re-married, and guess who wears the pants?!? (But don't tell my DH

) I do get along better with my ex-husband now. We are better "friends", or should I say co-parents. Anyway, whatever your life situation turns out to be, best of luck to you!

i just went on craigs list and responded to some babysiting ads. i've been putting it off. i took all the classes i need to becomes a licenced daycare provider. i'm gonna try to put it to use. then i will pay the bill and my husband can kiss my a@*. wish me luck

A 15 year old computer is a dinosaur, time for a new or a good used one tht can handle the FAST speed of internet. My FIL's old computer was nearly 13 years old and it can not go as fast so he went out and bought a new one which it went so fast that he had to use the backup keys to find his place LOL!

Good luck! I understand you being "stuck". I commend you for taking the initiative and trying to find a job of your own. Maybe you could also use the internet(home or library) to find a support group, as well.

Kids learn from their parents, whether it is a controlling or abusive father, or a brave mother. By no means am I trying to pass judgement, or say what you should do, but trying to find a job of your own is definately a step in the right direction. I wish you luck and maybe you and your kids will be able to get to a place where you get to call some of the shots!

Good luck! I think you will feel so much better when you have some income of your own to pay for the things you want, and not have to ask your husband for them. I agree that you'll definitely need a computer less that 3 years old or so. For what it's worth, I was at the Verizon store the other day, and they were offering a free netbook laptop with a one year mobile internet contract for $40 a month. Might be worth looking into, then it's all yours!
