Have you ever added a extra run to your coop

What we did to our bantam coop...

Initial coop and run:

Then we added a three foot wide, ten foot long addition (attached it and cut a hole in the existing run) using electrical pipe and 36" hardware cloth. The addition was attached to 2 by 6 boards for stability. The bantams spend quite a bit of time in this run, scratching in the straw and mulch we added to the bottom:

I do it with electric mesh. You can see it on my byc page. Keeps dogs out and gives them plenty of space. No protection from arial predators though.
