I have a lady that drops by my house frequently. It started with me putting an add in the local feed store, chicks for sale. Well...now, she comes by ALOT, and asks if I have any more chickens for sale. Seems she free ranges hers 100% of the time, and they are getting picked off quickly. The last time she came over, was just a few days before Christmas. DH and I have been sick with sinus/chest colds...just feeling really blah! DH was napping in his chair when she showed up at the door. I opened it just enough to tell her we were sick, and that I couldt talk to her right now, and that I didnt have any chickens for sale. She grabbed the door, pushing me back, and said, I need to step inside for a minute, its so cold. I was taken aback by her forcefullness. I told her she would have to go before she woke the DH...4 TIMES!! Finally DH woke up, and said.....loudly..WHO IS HERE!???? I told him, and AGAIN asked her to leave. I had to finally grab the door, open it, and push her out saying, you REALLY have to leave NOW, and told her I would not have any chickens for sale untill summer. Well, Saturday, a man pulls into the drive...DH and I are stacking firewood....he tells me "his friend" ( the crazy lady) told him I might have chickens for sale...and he was wanting to buy some. WHAT!?? I told him....I dont have any for sale...and WONT untill summer. PLEASE tell your "friend" I wont have any and to not come by untill she see's my add in the feed store. The nerve of some people!!

Too late now, but you needed to tell the man that if this friend evers sets foot on your property, you will have the police remove her. Pushing her way into your home uninvited and refusing to leave is a criminal act.

If you ever let her back to buy more birds from you, you are condoning her actions.

Be it at a show or at your home, short of holding a gun to your head, no buyer can make you sell something you don't want to sell or at a price lower than you wish. If he or she does, it is because they perceived a weakeness in you and focused on it.

Be forceful. Learn to say no and if someone persists, loudly instruct them to go away and leave you alone.

i had the same thing happen to me i was tring to sell my kids rabbit to this guy and we started out at $30 then he would keep say $10 $10 that's all i have then he asked about my bestes friends rabbit (her best one) we said nooooo he wouldn't leave me alone so i said fine
