We planted in February-- and have had a lot of losses thanks to a squirrel-- apparently the garden is bird-proof but not squirrel proof. We have tons of broccoli, carrots, tomatoes, green beans are in flower, corn is about 6 inches tall... squash and melons etc. I'm growing leeks for the first time this year and they're doing well.

I planted mine last weekend & have a little bit of many things:
Tomatoes
Sunflowers
Onions
Shallots
Garlic
Variety of lettuces
Arugula
Carrots
Eggplant
Cukes
Cabbage
Cauliflower
Spinach
Peas

I still want to plant some potatoes, broccoli and yellow squash.

I live in PA, but more north-central - not far north like Colored Egg Farmer. I've planted radishes, peas, onions, garlic, and carrots so far in the veggie garden. I planted a few sunflowers, purple coneflowers, and marigolds (all seeds) so far.

I'm about to go out and plant some more seeds! I do have a bunch of different veggies started inside. My husband just got me a mini greenhouse (4 shelves) for our anniversary, so I'll be having tons of fun with that!

I wish I didn't live in town, I'm a country girl at heart!

my older son just got done plowing up the field. Hope to go out tomorrow and plant my peas and lettuce, prepare for potatoes. Im going to try planting in plots this year and I want to get them ready.

I can't until the house sells and I move.

I would totally fill my old pots and planters, but... Lets face it, I have no where to put them that doesn't make the house look like a crazy person lives there.

Soooo I bought some starters including spearmint, rosemary and French lavender.

I started English lavender, garlic chives, and peppermint from seeds.

I desperately want to get strawberries, but I know they don't do well in pots. Anyway, it's a decent start for someone who may move at any time.

I put potatoes in the ground in February, plus onions and leeks soon thereafter. I have a few kohlrabi and cabbage planted, plus some tomatoes and peppers started from seed.
