Has any one ever read anything by Barbara Kingsolver???
"The Poisonwood Bible" by Barbara Kingsolver is my favorite book. I have read it many times. I have a copy for me and a "loner"
It's a real thought provoking story.
I was on a Barbara Kingslover kick many years ago and I read "The Bean Trees", "Animal Dreams", and "Pigs in Heaven". They were wonderful and I used to recommend them all the time. I haven't read anything she has written for years. I just loved her books so I think I am going to read the other books she has written now. It will be like rediscovering an old friend!
I really liked "Still Life with Chickens" and I read "Chicken Boy" this year as did my 10 year old. I enjoyed both. I also like Barbara Kingsolver, my favorite is "The Bean Trees". I also really liked "Animal......"
There is something about her books that you can relate to. Her newest one Animal Vegetable Miracle........ is about her family living off of food that they grow, so interesting. I think it is her only non fiction, but her fiction have so much real stuff happening that you forget they aren't true....
She is one of my all time favorite authors.

I learned a lot from it without feeling like she was preaching a way of life at me if that makes any sense.
