Guaranteed Analysis:
Crude Protein (min.) 32.00%
Crude Fate (min.) 4.00%
Crude Fiber (max.) 7.00%.

This is pretty much the exact stuff, I cant even find the purina brand im using online for some reason, its called purina catfish 32. I buy it at the local tractor supply for around $17/50lbs and it seems to last a good while. Any brand should work, I wouldnt go much over 4.00% fat though unless they have alot of room to run. If they are free range birds, then alot of extra protein really isnt necessary because they can catch insects, except during the winter. I feed it to all of my birds regardless, Guineas, Pheasants, Peafowl, etc for years with very good results. Several zoos use the same stuff for exotic hard to breed species. Specialized zoo diets from Mazuri brand are insanely priced. All in all, gamebird feed would work well for domesticated Guineas, but this stuff gives better results in my opinion, especially for my exotic Guineas. It's also has more vitamin c in it than gamebird feed which helps fertility, and immune system. The nutrition tag only lists the same stuff as above. To get the calcium and other info I called Purina and asked. As far as protein...protein is protein, it's not the actual meat or flesh. It's a bio-chemical compound that builds flesh in animals and vegetation. So it doesnt matter where it comes from, as long as we get it.

Very interesting I just ordered my first bag of Mazuri. 40 lbs for 21 or 22 dollars.... I am going to give the Mazuri a try. But if Cat fish food is easier to get I may give it a try too. For now my birds arent free ranging and they wont be till the spring.

I'm going tomorrow (major shopping trip, several stops planned... $$$... ouch)... so if I come home with any catfish feed I'll post pics, if someone else hasn't already done so. You can always crush or grind it, if the kibbles are too large. I know I will, the protein content vs the price alone makes it worth the effort IMO!
