Have you seen this breed before?

Disgusting? its amazing.

In Asia we eat chicken feet (in the Philippines they are called Adidas lol)

A new mutation could make for some very chewy, tasty chicken feet.
I saw a travel show where they ate chicken feet. They actually looked pretty good. Now every time I go out with my flock I look at my Brahmas (I have 2) and think: 'wow those are some big, puffy feet' I can see why folks eat them.

I have never really understood why we are so snobby about food here in the US. Used to be we'd eat all sorts of parts-sweetbreds, kidneys, brains etc-- but now everyone buys chickens already cut up off the bone and think everythoing else is gross. Then we buy a separate expensive joint supplement thats made out of some of the parts that are discarded.

It's also weird to me that what is considered yummy food in foreign lands isn't even considered fit for dog food. Folks don't want to see chicken by-products on their pet food label they look for chicken meat. What a shame. I was in a nutrition class 25 years ago and the nutritionist said that there was a problem in the pet food industry for a while after Chicken MCNuggets came out because they bought all the scraps that had been used for pet food to make the nuggets! Never did like those things.

I know this is an older thread but I would like to revive this thread to see if more information is available on this breed. Vietnamese Gamefowl .

There is a section on this breed in gamefowl.com that has pictures and I'm like wow.
