This is so odd.

First off, members who are already logged into the forum should not be getting the login screen for chat. If you do get to that screen please do not try to login from that screen or reset your password from that screen! That login screen isn't really good for much and may cause more problems than help.

Also, for you people that can't login I still need browser type AND version!


Again, if you are logged into the forum and click the link to go into chat there shouldn't be any problems and you should be able to go right in.

Just tried to go from the forum to the chat.I was logged into the forum. The log in box comes up with a message that my password is invalid.

I am on a Mac OSX with Safari Browser.
Will try with firefox and let you know.

still getting message that I dont exist and passwaord invalid. Logged out and relogged in no go.
ETA: Just looked again and chat button not there (end of allotted user hour block scheduled ?)
Rob I have always found the x7 one of the nicer opensource chats, but perhaps this group is just too big (and spread out timewise to "schedule" chat) for their hosting service?

tried with firefox. Same login box and invalid password message.
Also tried from the login box. Invalid password.

This is strange because I got in with both browsers the first day you tested it.

Hi Rob, I just tried chat and I got in fine, however when I hit the disconnect button it took me to the log in box, so I bypassed that and hit the red cross on top R/H corner and clicked on recent posts, to return to forum.

OK, So whenever I click on th chat button at the top of the page it sends me to the login page.
So I Put in my username, joebwe25, and the password you provided for me.
And then firefox, (version 2.0.0.1) asks me if
it I want it to remember my password, so I click yes. Then the chat says, "wrong username and/or password" so I hit reset password, type in my e-mail and it says, "no such user exists".

Let's go back a few days... "Yay! the new chat is open!" So I go in, and it has the login page.
I entered my username, and looked and found the password you gave me, and got in!
So I explored a little bit, and then had to leave, but didn't exit the room.
So when I went to close out the browser, And it said, "You have been banned or kicked from this room." so I went back and still got in. ?????
I don't know.

Tried again just now and same thing as last night. Click on chat button=login screen w/invalid password. I stopped there because don't want to hassle with it. I have latest version IE

now I have been clicking on the underlined "people in chat" as I can't find a tab that just says "chat" where is it at? I am using I.E. xp, google browser.
