My blue silkie, Winter, went broody and hatched a chick about 2 months ago. Winter and the baby have been in a separate enclosure from the rest of the flock (2 roosters and 2 hens). Winter is at the bottom of the pecking order and our buff silkie, Pumpkin, picks on her and chases her and the baby around constantly. The roosters also chase and attack the baby (now 2 months old) whenever they see him. We really want to integrate Winter and the baby with the rest of the flock because it is a hassle to keep them in a different area. Winter also wants to be with the flock again. She tries to hang out with the flock more often and when she does the baby just sits by himself in the bushes. It's really sad.
Pumpkin isn't attacking Winter as much anymore when they're free-ranging but when they're in the coop together she pesters her. We really want them to become one flock again but we don't know how. How can we accomplish this? Any advice is welcomed, thanks!
