I can't seem to be able to post in certain sections. I'm on IE, and things were working fine half an hour ago, but now none of my posts in the raising chickens section are submitting, I've tried on four or five different threads in various areas of that particular forum. I've changed computers a few time, no help.

ETA: Now it's also other sections too, which were fine until about five minute ago!

It may be another IE issue. Do you have any other browsers you can use?

Just testing if this posts in IE.

No problems with Chrome

I switch back and forth between IE & Chrome. Prefer IE.

Imp

not let's go...

Well the IE worked, but it's jerky trying to scroll.

Couple seconds slower than usual, but no problems editing/posting in IE8, here. Probably already have this but, if you don't: http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner . Run it and try again. Pretty much just use Comodo's Dragon (Chrome clone lacking the intrusiveness of Google's product).

The browsing speed seems to be fine, it's just the submitting of the posts that isn't getting through a lot of the time. (This is the second time I've tried posting on this thread, the first didn't work. Perhaps I'll just have to load the page several times in the future.)
Anyhow, I'm at the city library so I'm not sure exactly how much remedying I might be able to do on these computers. Thanks for the suggestions folks.

I'd ask the Librarian if I could check out a different browser

Prefer the more pleasant definition of `refreshing' :(

Hang in there, some of us can read Morse if necessary...

I had exactly this problem on my computer a couple of weeks ago. I could browse, type a reply. But I could not submit a reply. I definitively identified the issue as being related to an ad-blocking add-in (IE9). Once I removed the add-in, the problem went away. So, it might be that the library has something installed on their computers that is causing the problem.

Back button not working/slow posting/no posting/etc. seem, from inspecting page elements/properties IE8/9/Chrome, almost exclusively related to one or another aspect of the dynamic servicing of ads in one fashion or another. Nifty mentioned, in another thread that the Huddler engineers were working on this (try going to another Huddler site - some of the same issues for some users).

However, I've had no problems with IE8/9 (a little slower than Chrome) and am only on a 1.5DSL.

Did attempt to post (using Chrome) one day. Submitted post, timer spokes spun, nothing else happened. Went to town for 2hr.. On return - spokes still spinning/or circle spinning. Went to another machine in the house, logged in. Post had been posted. Stuck on some ad beacon or the like (never happened again - hate those irreproducible results).

Example of the problem re: back button: http://blogrescue.com/2012/02/back-button-mystery/ (observations on IE and Adsense).

Please read Nifty's instructions on reporting problems - only way to keep this on Huddler front burner (CEO said that engineers were focused on new browser/mobile compatibility rather than looking `backwards' - can't blame them rapidly shrinking install base).

Here are a few questions that will help us find, duplicate, and hopefully resolve the problem:

• What is the URL of the page that you got the error or had problems?
• Did you receive any error messages? if yes, what were they? (please copy and paste the entire message, screenshots are best)
• What were the exact steps you took before having the problem? Please be as specific as possible so we can do exactly what you did.
• How long has it been happening? If only one time, what day and time did it happen?
• Which browser and version are you using (eg., Firefox 3.5.9, Internet Explorer 7, etc.)
• Have you logged out, deleted your internet cache / browser history of files, logged back in, and tried again?
• Have you tried a different browser (we suggest Firefox or Chrome)?

`Oh! Brave new world, that has such features in it!' I feel old.
