I have looked at the pictures at the top thread & they seem so obvious, but I keep second guessing myself in sexing my own coturnix & A&Ms. Are there some colors that are impossible to sex other than listening for crowing? I thought it was my hens getting bloody heads from being mounted too much, but I saw an A&M with a bloody head mounting another A&M with a bloody head. I was trying to reduce males b/c I thought there was too high a roo
n ratio & that is why there are some bloody heads. Ack! Any advice for a newbie?
