Having trouble with my genesis, Please help if you can!

I used it once had a great hatch. The second time, we went away for 3 days and the temp dropped to 95 all the eggs died. I can't get it to go above 95, all my thermometers are correct, it is definatley 95. I adjusted the thermostat up and its still reading 95ish, any suggestions.?

Do you have the red vent plug on top in place? If not, put it in You can also check for a break in the seal of the styrofoam or the window, check the bator itself also.

When you add water are you added cold water or warm/hot water?

I did not have that problem with mine whatsoever.

Is it possible the heat element is faulty? If it's not generating enough heat, no amount of fiddling with the thermostat would get the temp any higher. Does the heat element stay on all the time but the temp not go up? That would be a good sign that this is the problem.

Is it still under warranty? Even if it's not, I would contact Genesis. It sounds like there's something wrong with it, and I bet they can help you.

Try unplugging it. Turn all the toggle switches off. Then turn the 3 or 4 switch back on and see if it works.
