So far they’re doing great! Adding some pics so you can see their feathering, and a quick question on combs? The tan chick (Hiyoko) has a ‘normal’ comb, but the yellow stripe chick (Michiko) has an unusual comb (to me! Only had wild chickens and RIR/Plymouth in the past!), is this the beginnings of a pea comb?

Also, not sure if pics do it justice but Hiyoko (tan) is definitely more ‘solid’ than Michiko (stripe). Michiko feels more lightweight, sort of like the difference between a runner duck and like a Swedish or so. They’re not super different in size, but I can tell the difference in weight and how they carry it, even though they seem to be about even in feathering now. Maybe some bantam? (Lots of chicken fighters around, even though it’s illegal!). What chickens have that pea comb?

Their feathers are turning out so pretty so far! Still hoping both are hens (I know too early!). Hiyoko—literally means ‘baby chick in Japanese, lol—gives me hen energy just by how she/he acts, how they groom themselves, etc. Michiko—Michi means road, literally where I found it—harder to tell by behavior but still seems more ‘petite’ compared to Hiyoko.

Thoughts? Otherwise I’m just showing them off too, lol. Maybe approaching 3 weeks?
