.... I hear the screech of a hawk. We look up, and there it is hovering over my [rooster].... I stood up and waved our hands at it... I could see it look at us and then at Frito. It decided to fly away.... Once when the roosters were 1 yr. old... a hawk landed and started to hop after [the roosters] while I was present! I ... chased it away. It continued to land on the fence for several weeks.....

The fact that the above poster saw a hawk hopping around on the ground while chasing the poster's rooster should convince most of you that things like CDs or Monofilament fishing line will not protect your poultry from the talons of hawks.
