Hawk Attack......Should we just put her down???

I recommend Vetericyn I had a chicken that had half of its breast pulled off some how I used this and she is OK now!

I guess it's time i post a little update. 'Noodle' has improved tremendously. The antibiotic, Dakins Solution, and Castor Oil has done it's job. We are 15 days post attack now and there is no longer any sign of infection that we can notice. The wound is closing up but SLOWLY and we're not very confident the skull will ever completely cover itself. Thankfully she started to eat and drink on her own at day 10 and has been doing more and more to the point that she is 100% self sufficient now. Both eyes are now completely open and she doesn't seem to have any equilibrium issues any longer. At this point we are in a waiting mode until we can take her back out to the flock. I'm hoping that she has to be inside no more then another 13 days. My garage smells like a barn and I'm starting to lose my patients with that haha. It's time for her to live with the chickens sooner rather then later.

Here's a pic of what things are looking like now. Improvement. Slow but improvement!

That looks great! I'm betting you will see covering on that wound before long but it may not have a full covering of feathers. Excellent work!

Looks good.

One of my ducks got scalped years ago by some overly amorous drakes. She did eventually grow the skin and most of the feathers back, although she was left with a permanent scar on the back of her scalp. I'll bet your girl has much the same thing once she fully heals.
