Hawks are so evil! You should call the wild life rehabitation to take that pesky little hawk away!! Or animal control who will eventually take the hawk to wild life rehabitation.Or you can get a special permit and shoot it. I would be very angry at the hawk if I was you and boy would my anger get me that special permit and shoot that hawk.

The hawk must have been pretty hungary, seems like it pretty much ate all the duck it could get to. So whats your plan for the future?

So sorry for your loss, I worry a lot about hawks. I have a little bit of netting but I will be adding more soon, and I've been feeding some of the local crows to get them to stick around more because I heard hawks tend to avoid crows.

This was the first loss to a hawk others have been fox and coon kills. The hawks aren't afraid of people I've had almost kills right next to me. This has been a year with a lot of hawks. The problem is since I started raising small wild type ducks that are moving and swimming constantly it attracts a lot of hawks. All I can do is keep them in their pen as much as possible but they love being out in the yard.
