A Cooper's Hawk grabbed one of my Golden Comets today. A bit of trauma for everyone. Ugh

Sorry! Was the hen ok? I see them here sometimes and wonder if they could take one of my adult hens.

It flew away with my hen. Ugh!!! I have six Golden Comets...well five now. They are six months old. I am all shook up feeling like the hawk is out there waiting. I have my Comets in the run (covered) now. Does anyone think roosters help for warning and all.

My neighbor has had crows kill multiple chickens and chicks. They dont pack them off but they kill them on the ground

I feed the crows here peanuts,and my chickens will chase the crows away,havnt had one go after a chicken yet.

Thats good. She also had them pack off baby ducks this past spring! She had a terrible time with them this year
