Do hawks prey on chickens?
Would a hawk be able to get through a run with plastic chicken wire on top?
Would it be able to pick up a fully gown Buff Orpington?

Yes hawks prey on chickens and yes some hawks can pick up full size chickens if not they will kill them on the spot and start plucking and eating the top should work

Top covering should work with hawks but beware of the coons.
