Man, I'm wanting to move after seeing all your hay prices. For an alfalfa/grass mix, 100 lb. bale, $19.50. The delivery fees start at $35.00 up to $60.00 depending on distance. I was lucky as I have a friend who drove out to the fields to get his hay and picked some up for me, too. He paid $16.50/bale and I added another .50 cents a bale to pay him for gas. Thankfully, I have 40 acres I graze them on, so I don't have to buy too much. Just enough to supplement over the coldest part of the year, and enough to feed my two mustangs come spring when they have to be locked up for a month or so in order not to founder.

I'm paying $5 for a 50# square bale of fertilized Russell Bermuda and $70 for the round bale out of the barn. Off the field they were $4 and $60. Nobody delivers here. You go get it or you do without.

we just bought two tons for our two dairy goats (its gonna take us forever to go through it!) at $180 a ton, which is SUPER cheap for around here. during late winter, a ton can go for $300-$400! we got 48 cales for $360, so... thats 7.50 a bale, and they are just two string bales! it is dairy quality alfalfa. you guys are so lucky that can find grass hay for so cheap, there is no such thing where we are!!!

We pay about $14 a bale... about 100 lb bales. But we go straight to the source and get pallets for $285 a ton... and sometimes get hay from a place for $10-12... 80-100 lb bales.

We pay 30 dollers for Round bales and 3.50 for small bales.
