Hay Prices in your area?

$7 per square bale, around 45#s each. So/so quality.

We feed 2 bales a day for all of our goats. OUCH!

That's a lot of goats!

So here it is Nov has everyone stocked up for the winter now?

Hay was much better this summer and fall prices then last year, so stocked up till next cutting in may/june of 2009. Price per bale at the farmer is 5.50 and the feed store is 7.50.

We got square bales yesterday at the auction for $3 each.

I just paid 14.75 a bale for alfalfa, I have paid 16.50 in the past, dang, it sure went up fast, and theres just no options except to feed em!

$3:50 bermuda square bale (about 60 pounds) pick up in the field.
$4:00 Alfalfa square bale (from in a barn protected from rain)

$90 per ton in a round bale for bermuda/grass hay.

We just bought 3 round bales, and filled one car spot in our garage with square bales.

Should be good through winter at least.

I'm $5/small bale out of the barn, $35 for the 4' round bales (600#'2 roughly)

I'm telling you, I'm charging $100/small bale next year. They are too much of a pITA to make and haul. It's not worth the frustration.
