Hazards of feeding earth worms?

No I don't go out of my way to buy earthworms for my birds but I have been known to turn over large rocks for finding them.

Unless I see worms in their poop, i'm not going to treat them for it.

Are The parasitic worms visible to the naked eye? I was under the impression you had to get a fecal float done to tell? Then again if they are acting healthy does it matter if they have worms?

I lay down pieces of Plywood and turn them over each morning, the ducks always go crazy for them.

Ducks don't usually suffer from worm overloads.
I've never wormed a Duck or a Chicken..

I have seen round worms in my chickens poop. I worm then. Unless some are acting off then I suspect maybe worm over load. But my birds free range and there is no way I can keep them from eating worms/bugs it's just part of who they are.

Sure its reasonable to feed your birds a worm you find on occasion, but in context of a daily feeding?

I would not do it daily.

Yes, along with examing their poop, If one of the birds was acting off I would definitely take into consideration that they might have worms

Only large roundworms can be seen easily, the rest are too small. Some people never de-worm their birds, but those people probably haven't had routine fecals done either, so they have no way of knowing the parasitic load of their flock.

Any reason to look for worms if the ducks seem healthy? Like an annual checkup?
