Mine does like the girls though. Course we ain't young no more either..... Maybe its an age thing?

Hubs helped build my coop he cussed the whole time but he did it. He's not chicken crazy but he knows they make me happy so he tolerates them. He's a little jealous of them, which I'm not going to touch because that's just stupid.

Lol men. Mine hates them as well. But he did build their coop ( probably because he wanted them out of the house) and i can, on rare occasions, get him to gather the eggs. Matter of fact he gathered the eggs for me today and my cockrel bit him good. Guess it will be awhile before i can get him to do that again.

There's something to be said for being able to handle power tools and do your own building. I'll take a chain saw, a chop saw, a cordless drill (and a shovel full of poop!) any day of the week over a vac cleaner, a sink full of dirty dishes, and a dirty floor.

I think my husband is a little scared of them, he certainly does not like them. But he knows I do and is supportive He didn't bat an eye at the price tag of my crazy expensive over the top coop! Well to be fair he just did not ask how much it cost.... But then again he got a new car right after... We must be doing something right considering its been 33+ years
