Well technically you can marinate your husband, you just can't get caught.

Mean roosters are a lot easier to deal with, after all you can't just marinate your husband in elderberry wine* and pop him into the oven.

I know where you're coming from though, as I may have found myself in a similar situation. Just found out the woman I've been dating for the last four month is afraid of chickens, and doesn't even like eggs that much! She does use them in cooking and baking, at least.

I don't think mine overly likes them but he is good to them,. However, he spends his weekends helping me put windows in the coop, jokes about having to get another job due to all my animal interests lol etc. Usually anything that makes me happy, he says makes him happy. His biggest complaint? They poop on the porch lol, bugs me too, but, I love feeding them out the door, so will switch to the side door haha
