He admitted he hates them finally

I built my own 8x10 coop while he was away on vacation. I love doing things my way.
Then i built a 8x16 hoop coop. He did help with bending the cattle panels. Then he fell out of a tree and busted ribs so i did the rest myself.
I am making a triple hole rabbit hutch now. In the spring i will be building a greenhouse. I don't expect much help.

Not sure I could handle a man that was not supportive of my interests. :hmm

Yep. Love me, love my animals.

We have a regular gathering at our house every Tuesday night. I do a Home-cooked family-style meal and afterward (well after everyone gets done bitching about work lol) everybody learns how to make stuff, mostly woodworking but there's other media too like baking and knitting, anything anybody wants to learn. We call it "Maker's Lounge." Anyway, one time a guy from my husband's work came for the first time, walked into my house and loudly announced/shouted, "I hate dogs!" Loud enough that I could hear him on the other side of the house with my head buried in the pantry! After everyone left that night, I informed my husband that that guy was not only not to be invited back, but that if he tried to come back, I wouldn't welcome him in. I understand that some people don't like certain animals or are allergic etc, but you just do not do that!

To Alecia Davidshofer, maybe your husband needs to informed of what happens to unpleasant "roosters" who can't along with the rest of the flock - they go to freezer camp! I think he should buy you flowers to apologize, and some treats for the chickens to apologize to them. Maybe mealworms or a couple pumpkins. :clap

no mayo (deviled eggs)

Ma'am no disrespect intended but mayo, the real stuff that is, is made from eggs..... I took cooking classes in school and we made homemade mayo, better than from the store! I will gently leave now since a male sholdn't attend a hen party uninvited even if he loves chickens....

I am Blessed to having a partner, that adores all our animals...

Agree...No-one is welcome at our home, if they don't love animals - they live here, it is their home.

Sometimes it's easier to get along with a mean rooster than a husband. I've had the same one (Husband) for 37 years and there are times I want to whack him with a stick. :D
Mean roosters are a lot easier to deal with, after all you can't just marinate your husband in elderberry wine* and pop him into the oven.

I know where you're coming from though, as I may have found myself in a similar situation. Just found out the woman I've been dating for the last four month is afraid of chickens, and doesn't even like eggs that much! She does use them in cooking and baking, at least.

*(look it up. ;) )
