He broody!!

I am willing to give here a try and almost all the egg are fertile. When she leaves the nest I get worried about the other chickens, some would sit on them and kick her out and some will just lay there egg and leave.

Hay I've seen my chicken leave and get back on the nest I'm so happy that she still wants to hatch them I really want to sea what they look like. What do you think they might look like? I'm thinking they might look like cochin bantams though have speckles of different colors.

Hears the proud mighty father! The two girls that are perching are the same breed and he likes them the most.

All his girls and Mama sitting on here 9 eggs.

OH! will the other hens harass her? Should I close her in the kennel for the night?

She is fine at night when the others are roosted and sleeping. They will harass her during the day. Is there somewhere you could put her, the eggs and the kennel away from the other birds with her own food and water?

We just moved our broody to a separate pen because the other girls kept going in to her nest to lay eggs. We just moved the whole nesting box at night to keep her from being to stressed out.

Would it be ok to just shut the Kennel? But not forever I would let her out once in a while.
