he died but thanks for your help everyone

If you are not sure what the problem is yet, isolate the bird, and try to make it comfortable with fresh food and water. Until I was sure what the problem is, I would start him on a vitamin supplement asap, and look him over real good for any abnormal symptoms you can see. If you describe everything you can, there is a good chance someone here can help diagnose the problem for you, and any kind of treatment that can be done. I know it is hard to see a pet ill, but you have to face it head on, even if the outlook isn't good. I will help if I can if you can post more details. I would also look at the information tricia gave, because it is all possible depending on the symptoms. You can see more information on some of this on my site HERE . Good luck!

Nothing is caught in his throat and his comb is normal colored. His face is a little pale. Does that mean anything?

If the bird can't eat or drink, and if you aren't going to try to feed and water him, and try to help him out, you need to cull him. If you can't, have someone do it for you because if you let a bird starve to death because you can't deal with it, that is cruel, and inhumane in my book. Part of the responsibility of owning animals is looking out for their best interest above your own, if you can't do that, you better just get rid of all your animals for their sake. Sorry to be blunt, but that is my opinion.

You must be freaking out. Have you tried a dropper to get something in him? It doesn't seem to me that you are ready to give up on him.

I am so sorry, this sounds terrible.

If i knew he was going to starve to death i wouldn't let him. He is probably dead right now because last time i checked he was just barely breathing. He is not going to starve to death so its not inhumane to not cull him.
