He is such a flirt!!!!

My unknown rooster is such a flirty with my girls. I haven't seen him mount any of them but he sure does flirt and dance around them alot. Suprisingly he became my dominant roo, even over my GIANT EE roosters. He is a little guy so I guess he just loves my girls. My new EE rooster has one girl that he tries to breed all the time but she really hates him so she won't let him. Anyways I thought it was funny that my ? rooster dances around them constantly.

P.S. If they aren't laying will a rooster breed them?

Yes, the rooster will breed them, especially if they are close to laying age. It seems they sense when a pullet is close and pay her more attention, at least in my experience.

My "Egyptian Hodon"(AKA Unknown breed) is now mounting his girl. For those of you who were interested in seeing if I could duplicate the breed, I'm going to incubate her eggs. Hopefully they will turn out like her and her "husband".
