not a brown leghorn, wrong colour for a brown, but could one of those wanna be silver leghorns from Murray McMurray hatchery.
edited to add: also yes its pullet, both black breasted red and silver birds pullets and cockerels are coloured very differently. Males will feather in black chests and female the reddish salmon yours displaying. So its definitly female and ready to lay by the look of that comb.
