I would probably have my boyfriend/husband call the man back and explain the mistake. Then, he would have to go get them. If he wouldn't do that, I would think twice about spending the rest of my life with him. Sounds drastic, but that's what I think I would do.

So sorry this has happened.

Sorry about the loss. There are a lot of people here that have things to sell. Maybe you can go shopping for a fancy heritage breed and spoil yourself a bit.

What a bad situation to be in. I feel for you. My DH would never dream of doing anything with my animals as a swift ....?!?!!!..would be the only ending for him. Hope you can get them back and if so, remember that if that person has chickens already and adding to the flock, even for a day or hours, quarantine them if you get them back. Be safe not Sorry. Keeping my fingers crossed for you!

It does not sound like your fiance acted out of malice, and he now understands that the sale of your chicks should be left to you.

I wouldn't ask for the chicks to be returned (for biosecurity issues). If it were me I would consider it a lesson learned and move on.

I would have to say my honest opinion is that everyone makes mistakes. I am sure that he completely understands now that he should not have sold the chicks and it will not happen again. He probably thought that he was helping you. Forgive him. I personally would not make him ask for the chicks back, I am sure that in doing that your SO might be humiliated and a relationship is not worth a few chicks. You can always get more chicks, you can't replace him.

I am sorry that your going through a hard time with it.
