Found this hen yesterday with a head injury(see pics). Not bleeding but very exposed. So far we've cleaned it with Betadine Soulution, sprayed with Vetericyn Plus Poultry spray, and coated with Hen Healer.
She's in a separate cage in the run and doesn't seem to be doing anything abnormal. Eating and drinking fine. Anything else we should look for? Any of these treatments we should stop? TIA. Mike

Is thee something to stitch?

Poor thing!
We wondered that but it doesn't look all that deep. So far the hen healer seems to be helping and we're trying to get her back to the point where the other's won't mess with it. The odd thing is that she and the other Golden Laced Wyandotte are typically doing more of the pecking than getting pecked.

I have had some with injuries like that and they recovered so keep up the work.

I did not give them antibiotics but did use vetericyn and blu kote
